The Sausalito Art Festival is seeking 1,000 volunteers for a variety of exciting positions throughout Labor Day Weekend.
One weekend each year, volunteers come together to support the arts, raise much needed funds, and help host the most prestigious Art Event of the year. Participants enjoy top name entertainers, magnificent art, great food, and a wonderful weekend on the beautiful Sausalito waterfront. The Festival is held at Marinship Park and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Bay Model Visitor Center. Volunteers receive Free Festival Admission on the day(s) they volunteer, a T-shirt, and an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party.

Festival volunteers are needed in all areas including Artist Relations, Garbage Committee, Beverage Sales, The Festival Store, Transportation, Security, and more.
The Sausalito Art Festival continues its long-standing mission of supporting the arts and community non-profit organizations through grant programs, artist awards, scholarships, and the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce’s Community Service Programs. Through this support, the Festival makes a significant investment in the future of its community. The Sausalito Art Festival is sponsored by The Sausalito Art Festival Foundation, a non-profit organization.

How Does the Sausalito Art Festival Support the Community?
Artist Awards are granted to an artist in each category for outstanding craftsmanship and creativity. Funds are awarded in Community Grants to help local non-profits grow programs. And it funds The Sausalito Chamber of Commerce to produce year round events, public services, and Capital Grants to help keep the City of Sausalito beautiful. Why Does the Sausalito Art Festival Need Volunteers?
With 40,000 Festival attendees, there is always plenty of work to be done. With volunteer help and support, there are always enough hands and minds to make the Festival run like clockwork. Over 1,000 volunteers are needed.
Who is a Typical Volunteer?
The perfect volunteer is a person just like you. In their everyday lives, volunteers are lawyers, students, homemakers, doctors, construction workers, and even retired artists. Volunteers are people who know how to have a good time and enjoy giving something back to their community.
What Do I Need to Know to Be a Volunteer?
The only thing you need to know to be a volunteer is how to have a good time and how to let others know that you are there to help! You will be asked to attend a brief orientation. This session is fun, you meet other volunteers, and enjoy the first preview of all Festival activities.
What Benefits Do I Get As a Volunteer?
While you do not get paid as a volunteer, you get the opportunity to meet exciting people, you will receive a commemorative Festival T-shirt, beverages, and admission to the Festival the day(s) you volunteer.
But, most of all, you will receive the satisfaction of helping support Sausalito's non-profit community.

Yes! Please come to the Volunteer Gate adjacent to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Bay Model Visitor Center, between 10:00am and 3:00pm, all three days of the Festival. Assignments are... "first come — first served".
